As everyone is reflecting on the police shooting that tragically ended Jordan Edwards life. We here at Jules Uncut, just wanted to say that our thoughts and prayers are with the Edwards family. The 15-year-old straight A student, held down a 3.5 GPA, perfect attendance, and was an all-star athlete. On Saturday Jordan, a freshman in high school attended a party at a friends house. Jordan and the other teens he was with decided to leave after hearing gun shots.
Once they got into the car there were three gun shots heard. Jonathan Haber, the officer responsible for shooting Jordan claims the car started was backing up towards him, which is why he took the shot. The police cam proves that the car actually took off in a forward motion to flee the scene. That’s when Haber shot Jordan in the head as he sat on the passenger side.
Our hearts especially go out to Jordan’s brothers who were his best friends. The boys were all together that night and witnessed Jordan’s murder right before their eyes.
As we move forward we want to reflect on the fact that there’s still so much work to be done. We all must do our part to make sure that our people are safe.
Jordans parents are asking that protest and rally’s be held off until Jordan’s funeral.
Until then we want to share these thoughts
