Beyonce Creates A Formation Scholarship In Honor Of Lemonade
From time to time we hear about the good work that Beyonce does. Her, and Jay gave money recently to bail out protestors from a few Black Lives Matter marches. Now, Beyonce is giving back to women to make it easier for them to go to college. That’s pretty amazing and the whole theme is inspired by Lemonade. It’s been about a year since Bey released the album, along with the breath taking visuals that came along with it.
The message behind Lemonade, is the entire reason why Beyonce is doing this. The Scholarship will be given out for the 2017-2018 school year for four women who are “unafraid to think outside the box”. What an amazing way for Bey to encourage women to be courageous, and to keep pushing forward in their lives to achieve true success. The awards will available at four different schools.
Howard University, Spelman College, Berklee College of Music, and Parson School of Design are the participating schools in the Formation Scholarship. To meet the requirements of the scholarship the ladies must be studying creative arts, music, literature, or African American studies, as incoming, current, or graduate students.
Man! Now that’s how you do it!
Shoutouts to Beyonce for creating this wonderful opportunity for women everywhere!
